Complex Director of Finance
About the position
Responsibilities
• Direct and administer all financial operations of the hotel, including asset protection and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Serve as financial advisor to hotel management and ownership.
• Monitor and approve all sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses of the hotel.
• Assist and counsel department heads in interpreting and analyzing financial data, recommending actions to maximize profitability.
• Prepare annual plans, projections, and budgets.
• Monitor and develop team member performance, including supervision and professional development.
• Recruit, interview, and train team members.
Requirements
• Proven experience in financial management within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Experience in budget preparation and forecasting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with hotel management systems.
• Advanced financial modeling skills.
• Professional certification in finance or accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA).
