[Remote] Lead PHP Developer with Laravel & Symfony Exp || Remote || W2 Contract

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. iPivot is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead PHP Developer to join their team. This role involves leading a team of developers, architecting and developing scalable web applications, and ensuring the quality and performance of their systems. Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable web applications using PHP. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, designers, DevOps, and QA. • Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and technical architecture. • Review and optimize existing code for performance, scalability, and security. • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. • Mentor junior developers and perform regular code reviews. • Manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure delivery of high-quality software on schedule. • Participate in technical discussions, decision-making, and roadmap planning. Skills • Strong knowledge of modern PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter. • Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases. • Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration. • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js or React is a plus). • Proficiency with version control systems like Git. • Strong understanding of software design patterns, OOP, and MVC architecture. • Experience with performance optimisation, caching strategies, and security best practices. • Experience in team leadership or technical project management. • Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
