Base pay range: $50.00/hr - $70.00/hr Organization: Mercor Position: Expert Prompt Curators for Advanced AI Evaluation Dataset Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $50-$70/hour Location: Remote Duration: ~2 months (potential extension) Commitment: 10–20 hours/week, fully remote and asynchronous Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided) • Create expert-level prompts that challenge AI models beyond current capabilities. • Ensure prompts are objective, self-contained, and yield clear, unambiguous answers. • Test prompts against advanced AI models and document strengths/limitations. • Provide detailed reasoning steps and correct solutions for each prompt. • Classify prompts into subject domains for structured dataset organization. • Collaborate with reviewers for validation and refinement. Requirements • Advanced academic or professional expertise in a specialized subject (STEM, law, finance, history, cultural studies, etc.). • Strong ability to design high-difficulty, knowledge-intensive questions requiring deep reasoning and external references. • Excellent analytical, writing, and problem-structuring skills. • Experience in academic research, benchmarking, or exam/test design preferred. • Attention to detail and ability to deliver consistent, high-quality work.
