Part-Time Video Editor for Client Projects (up to 140 videos per month)
Part-Time Video Editor (Short-Form, Simple Cuts)
I’m looking for a reliable, friendly part-time editor to help with ongoing short-form video projects for client accounts.
This is NOT a heavy, cinematic, transitions-everywhere editing job.
The style is clean, simple and fast-paced. Think: accurate cuts, removing filler words, keeping the pace tight, adding basic overlays when needed, and using clean captions that match the audio perfectly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Editing short-form videos (mostly 15–90 seconds) using simple cut-based editing
- Removing filler words, pauses and hesitations to keep the flow moving
- Adding clean, accurate captions
- Occasionally adding basic overlays to highlight what’s being said
- Maintaining the same editing style across all videos (examples will be provided)
- Working from raw files delivered via Google Drive
- Uploading completed edits back into the same folder for review
NOTE: Each client has roughly 24 videos per month recorded for them, and we work with 5-6 clients currently, with the view to this growing. There will be quite a few videos to edit, but they will arrive in a volume of 10-12 per day, 4 days per week)
What I’m NOT looking for:
- Heavy effects, cinematic transitions, or flashy editing
- Sound design, colour grading, complicated motion graphics
- Editors who over-edit or try to reinvent the style
The person I'd LOVE to work with has:
- Strong attention to detail, especially with captions and pacing
- Experience editing short-form content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
- Ability to follow a clear editing style guide and stay consistent
- Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines
- 48-hour max turnaround time (this will matter a lot)
Tools & workflow:
- All raw footage will be shared via Google Drive
- You edit in your own software
- Finished videos are uploaded back into Drive for review
- Simple, repeatable workflow
If you understand modern short-form content and enjoy clean, minimal editing that keeps the viewer engaged without overdoing it, I’d love to hear from you.
