American Football Quant / Mathematician

As we are expanding the portfolio of our products, we are looking for and experienced quantitative researcher of US sports, specifically American Football. We are looking for expertise in the field and experience with building models mainly for live odds pricing for multiple markets and partially also prematch pricing. We are working with video game analogies of the real sports, so there are certain difference with respect to the traditional version of the game. The games are played in a studio as 1-vs-1 human player games. We are looking for all different kinds of cooperation - from consultancy to full-time, both on-site (Prague) as well as fully remote. What You'll Be Working On: Analyzing patterns and strategies across a range of US sports for titles like Madden (American football) or NBA 2K (basketball). Using your experience from real sports to design, implement, and validate mathematical models that capture both the game rules and patterns as well as trends in the performance of the human players. Focusing not only on single markets but also on Betbuilder (same game parlay) solutions that combine multiple markets within the same game (e.g. home scores at least 2 touchdowns and still loses). Skills You’ll Need: Clear experience with creating successful live models for American Football. This is the key requirement. Experience with modelling other “US sports” like basketball, baseball, ice hockey is a plus. Proficiency in programming, preferably with Python.
