About the position Responsibilities • Partner with the global functional heads to lead a creative and dynamic talent strategy. • Serve as a critical thought partner to the business to anticipate, shape and influence organizational change. • Lead a global, scaled HR function, co-managing a team of 90+ business partners. • Build an HR delivery model, which will drive scale and support rapid business growth. • Evaluate compensation and equity structures to ensure they are market competitive. • Define the organizational, talent and diversity strategies and connect the dots across the businesses they support. • Be a vocal champion of fostering a culture which reflects our inclusion and belonging strategy. • Advise senior leaders through coaching and elevated performance improvement measures. • Effectively evaluate the specific needs of the various talent pools and ensure that people strategies accurately reflect the nuanced needs of those employees. • Use data, metrics and people analytics to provide insights and influence organizational and talent decisions. Requirements • 15-plus years of demonstrated success and recent experience in senior HR roles. • Bachelor's degree and MBA or equivalent experience preferred. • Ability to forge deep relationships with a large set of clients across various functions. • Strong solid understanding of teams in the HR function, including compensation practices, organizational development, change management, employee relations, talent & culture, performance management, training, recruitment, and global employee law. • Proven ability to lead large teams with scaled operations within a global, matrixed work environment. • Prior experience as a strong people manager with the ability to develop, coach and lead experienced HR professionals. Nice-to-haves • A background in asset management/financial services is not a prerequisite, but there is an expectation that the individual will have a passion to learn about BlackRock's business.
