SR Mainframe consultant

About the position Responsibilities • Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions using CA OPS/MVS and Mainframe automation technologies. • Oversee the development and maintenance of automation scripts to enhance system performance and reliability. • Provide technical expertise in CA OPS/MVS to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components. • Monitor system performance and implement necessary optimizations to maintain high availability. • Develop and enforce best practices for infrastructure management and automation. • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. • Mentor and guide junior team members in the use of CA OPS/MVS and related technologies. • Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve infrastructure efficiency. • Document infrastructure designs processes and procedures for future reference. • Ensure that all infrastructure projects are completed on time and within budget. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns. Requirements • Must have extensive experience with CA OPS/MVS and Mainframe automation. • Should possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Must have a solid understanding of infrastructure design and implementation. • Should have experience in developing and maintaining automation scripts. • Must be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model with rotational shifts. • Should have excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Should have experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members. • Must be familiar with disaster recovery and business continuity planning. • Should have a proactive approach to system monitoring and optimization. • Must be able to document processes and procedures clearly. • Should have experience in evaluating and recommending new technologies. • Must be committed to ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
