Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description The main function of a Manufacturing Engineer is to apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production. The role involves the ability to make engineering drawings and to read and interpret blueprints. Responsibilities • Study time motion methods and speed involved in maintenance production and other operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency. • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards. • Read worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications. • Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays. • Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization. Essential Skills • Experience in time studies and time study methodologies. • Proficiency in creating work instructions and conducting workflow analysis. • Ability to design assembly lines and launch new assembly lines. • Skill in tooling design and jig/fixture design using CATIA or other CAD software. • Experience in manufacturing process improvements and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis). Additional Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in engineering required. • 5-7 years of relevant experience required. • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. • Experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field such as Computer Aided Design (CAD). • Team player and detail-oriented. Work Environment The work environment is a state-of-the-art automotive factory located in Casa Grande, Arizona. The facility provides a modern and innovative atmosphere for engineering professionals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to hire position based out of Casa Grande, Arizona. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
