CPQ & Billing Systems Integration Consultant
CPQ & Billing Systems Integration Consultant
Department: Aquiva Labs
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract
Location: AMER
Description
We are looking for a highly skilled CPQ and Billing Systems Integration Consultant (CPQ Administrator / BSA with Strong Integration Experience) to support our client’s Salesforce CPQ and Logisense billing platform. This role is critical to improving billing accuracy, reducing sync errors, and ensuring end-to-end data consistency across revenue systems.
The ideal candidate has deep experience with Salesforce CPQ, understands the CPQ data model, and is capable of diagnosing complex issues across a multi-system architecture. Strong integration experience, particularly with tools like Workato, is essential.
This is an independent contributor role working within an existing backlog and alongside a cross-functional finance and billing operations team.
Location: Remote. Must provide a minimum of 4 hours overlap with PST.
Duration: 3 months (potential opportunity to extend).
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and troubleshoot data synchronization between Salesforce, CPQ, Workato, and Logisense.
• Investigate discrepancies (e.g., contract records, price changes, customer data) to determine the root cause—whether CPQ configuration, Salesforce data, transformation logic in Workato, or Logisense is the culprit.
• Review daily system events (e.g., new contracts, renewals, amendments) and validate whether transactions have synced properly across platforms to determine which items require intervention.
• Recommend and implement process improvements or automation opportunities to reduce manual review and troubleshooting effort.
• Assess billing readiness ahead of monthly bill runs (1st of each month).
• Work within a defined prioritized backlog and provide structured updates and collaborate closely with the Finance Systems Team and GTM Systems Teams.
• Gain deep understanding of the current Salesforce CPQ instance, configuration decisions, and integration patterns.
• Quickly ramp up on Logisense functionality, data structures, and billing workflows to support accurate issue diagnosis.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• Strong expertise in Salesforce CPQ, including objects, pricing, quoting, contracts, and amendment/renewal workflows.
• Hands-on integration experience, preferably with Workato (or similar iPaaS tools like MuleSoft, Boomi).
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and identify the true source of a problem (CPQ configuration, integration logic, or downstream billing platform).
• Experience working with subscription/billing systems (Logisense experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical mindset; comfortable reviewing logs, data exports, and queued transactions.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex, ambiguous issues.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional work within Finance, Billing, and Engineering.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment (~200 events per month).
• Significant reduction in billing errors and sync discrepancies.
• Improved accuracy and reliability of the end-to-end quote-to-cash process.
• Increased confidence from Finance and Billing teams in the data flowing from CPQ to Logisense.
• Demonstrated automation or process improvements that reduce manual workload for troubleshooting issues.
