Industrial Designer Needed for Premium Solar-Integrated Event Structures (Totems, Direction Signs)

I run SustainPro, an Abu Dhabi–based EventTech & ClimateTech company. We are building a new rental fleet of premium, solar-powered event structures that combine: • High-end industrial design • Integrated small-format solar panels (beautifully hidden or celebrated) • LED illumination • Modular graphics • Off-grid power (battery + solar charge) We need a world-class industrial / experiential designer to create the 3D designs and production files. These structures must look futuristic, magical, and iconic — something not currently seen in events. This is NOT signage. This is experiential architecture + solar integration + design innovation. ⸻ Scope of Work Design a family of 3 structures: ⸻ 1. Solar Crown Totem (Primary Product) • Height: 3.0–3.5 m • Slim monolithic body (curved or sculptural) • Top section: a crown or halo made of multiple small solar panels (20–50W each) arranged in a modern geometric pattern • Internal LED illumination • Replaceable graphic faces • Heavy/stable base with concealed battery + MPPT • Must feel premium, futuristic, minimalistic ⸻ 2. Solar Ribbon Direction Sign • Height: 2.4–3.0 m • An organic or curved central body that glows • A solar “ribbon” wrapping the structure (using flexible or slim mini solar modules) • Clean and elegant integration of solar — invisible or artistic • Designed for arrows, icons, and event messaging • Same battery/solar technical core ⸻ 3. Solar Ambient Plinth • Height: 0.8–1.2 m • Top surface for objects, trophies, or placemaking elements • LED accent lighting • Small solar panels integrated on sides or subtly into the design • Compact, sculptural, and visually striking ⸻ Aesthetic Direction We want designs that feel: • Premium and futuristic • Minimal but magical • Inspired by: • EXPO 2020 architecture • Louvre Abu Dhabi light play • Museum of the Future minimalism • High-end experiential installations Solar panels must be part of the visual language, not an afterthought. ⸻ Technical Requirements (Your design must allow for): • LED load 10–40 W • 80–180 W total solar input using multiple small solar modules • Battery inside base: 12.8V LiFePO₄ (20–60Ah) • MPPT charge controller inside base • Hidden wiring channels • Weather-resistant exterior • Interchangeable graphic skins • Easy on-site setup (10–15 minutes) (I have a solar engineer who will do full electrical engineering. You focus on industrial design and integrating solar spaces.) ⸻ Deliverables 1. 3D CAD models (Rhino or Solidworks + STEP) 2. Fabrication-ready drawings (DWG, DXF, exploded views) 3. Internal structure design (metal frame, access door, solar mounting points) 4. Panel layout for solar modules (sizes + mounting integration) 5. Material specification: cladding, acrylic, ACP, metal 6. High-quality renders (day + night lighting) 7.
