Job Title: Technical Writer Location: 100% Remote Duration: 10+ Months Contract (Possible further extension) 70% of work dedicated to Technical Writing 30 %- of work dedicated to Change Management Reports to: Manager, L&D AI and Digital Upskilling Job Description: As a Technical Writer in the Learning & Development team at client, you will be instrumental in creating high-quality documentation to support AI and Digital Upskilling initiatives. This position involves significant collaboration across teams to enhance employee learning experiences and actively supports change management processes to ensure smooth technology and process transitions. We are seeking someone with a strong background in technical writing, change management, and a passion for improving user comprehension. Key Responsibilities: • Content Development: • Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and training guides focused on AI and digital technologies. • Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content that meets the needs of a diverse audience. • Communication Duties as assigned Change Management: • Support change management efforts by developing communications and resources that assist in the seamless adoption of new technologies. • Track and implement change requests for documentation, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. • Collaboration and Information Gathering: • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to gather detailed information for documentation. • Work with development and support teams to maintain documentation repositories and ensure effective data management. • Quality Assurance and Innovation: • Review content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, adhering to established style guidelines and corporate standards. • Evaluate current documentation and propose innovative improvements to enhance user understanding and engagement. Qualifications: • A minimum of six years of experience in technical writing and change management. • Proven ability to quickly learn complex concepts and explain them clearly and accurately. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail. • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. • Strong knowledge of technical writing fundamentals, including content organization and industry standard styles. Desired Skills: • The candidate should have over 6 years of experience and hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Technical Communications, Education, or a related field. Proficiency in course authoring tools, as well as video, graphics, and flowcharting software for documentation, is essential. Additionally, experience or certification in change management processes and project lifecycle management is preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in communications or Technical Communications, Education, or a related field. • Experience in writing content for software development or a highly technical field such as engineering or computer science. • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management and Document Control methodologies. • Proficiency in using course authoring tools, video, graphics, and flowcharting software for documentation. • Experience or certification in change management processes and project lifecycle management. Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or technical communications. • Experience working in technology, consumer products, or pharmaceutical industries.
