Job title: Senior Back End / API Developer [Remote] Company: Braintrust Job description: • JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below) • LOCATION: Remote - United States only (Time Zone: PST/CIST | Partial overlap) • HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $90 – $120/hr • ESTIMATED DURATION: 40h/week THE OPPORTUNITY This is US Only - Please do not apply if outside the US Requirements • Must have 3-4 years of experience in creating restful API using Node.js. • Must have 2-3 years of experience in AWS cloud platform to deploy API developed using Node.js. • Must have Experience in AWS Cloud ecosystem and worked with services like Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, S3, Authorization etc. • Must have 2-3 years of experience working with AWS Relational Database (PostgreSQL). designing data models and proficient in querying document stores • 1-2 years of experience working with Graph QL (nice to have) • Experience in creating CI/CD. • Ability to work in an Agile / SCRUM environment • Self-directed with a start-up/entrepreneur mindset • Ravenous about learning technology and problem solving Top Skills • REST API • AWS • nodejs Other Skills • Postgres • GraphQL • WEB What you’ll be working on Our client is looking for a Senior Back End/ API Developer to join their Engineering team. You will be joining a growing team launching and evolving a brand new product into their suite of offerings. In addition, you and this team will be setting the example for current and future native app development here at with us. As a member of this team, you’ll join us in their relentless honing of the craft of software development: learning modern technologies, adopting and adapting processes and best practices, and leveraging the benefits of automation. They are a passionate, fast-moving organization, and they are looking to find other talented individuals who can help us continue to learn and grow. THE ROLE: • Working within a cross-functional product development team to deliver high-quality native app experiences using React Native • Rapidly testing, iterating, and measuring features and growth opportunities • Demonstrating an ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment. • Building new experiences to attract, educate, and retain customers • Driving the migration of backend (node.js) services from AWS to Google Cloud. • Developing with and contributing to a component-based architect based on node.js and React Native that can be shared across the organization. #PL-BT ABOUT THE HIRING PROCESS: Qualified candidates will be invited to do a screening interview with the Braintrust staff.
