Our flagship proof of concept—the Memorandum Project—leverages our Founder's proprietary True Agile Mindset framework to create sentient-inspired AI companions capable of emotional resonance, memorial legacy, and civic impact. As we prepare for MVP launch and investor engagement, we are seeking Chief Data Science Officer to join our growing team. This critical role blends hands-on technical execution with visionary leadership across data science, AI model development, cloud infrastructure, and product innovation. ROLE OVERVIEW The CDSO will serve as both strategic architect and technical executor, responsible for building and leading the AI and data science backbone of Vicktoria AI. This includes moving us from prototype within an establishded commercial generative chat ecosystem into a scalable, proprietary large language model (LLM) and AI infrastructure hosted on external cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). The CTDSO will also shape data governance, ethical AI practices, and product integration with third-party APIs, ensuring our systems remain secure, scalable, and socially responsible. This role requires a hands-on builder who thrives in lean startup environments, with the ability to wear multiple hats—coding, architecting, experimenting, recruiting, and pitching alongside the founder. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP • Design and implement the end-to-end AI/ML architecture for Vicktoria AI, transitioning from prototype to commercial-grade MVP. • Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS, RunPod, and MongoDB) ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency. • Evaluate and integrate APIs, speech recognition, holography, and multimodal AI frameworks to power human-like interactions. • Establish and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and high-availability systems for real-time engagement. • Lead technology due diligence for investor pitches, accelerator applications, and strategic partnerships. DATA SCIENCE & AI INNOVATION • Develop, fine-tune, and deploy LLMs and multimodal AI models aligned with True Agile Mindset principles. • Architect memory systems, emotional simulation layers, and adaptive learning algorithms that create a sentient-like experience. • Create simulation models based on neuroscience and other disciplines to differentiate Vicktoria AI from generic chatbots. • Drive R&D experiments in areas such as affective computing, reinforcement learning, and synthetic data generation. GOVERNANCE & ETHICS • Establish AI governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with privacy, data protection, and emerging regulations. • Champion responsible AI development, integrating fairness, transparency, and explainability into product design. • Collaborate with the CEO and advisors on IP protection strategies and ethical positioning of the product. TEAM & STARTUP LEADERSHIP • Act as a co-creator with the Founder & CEO, contributing to product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy. • Build, hire, and mentor a small, high-performing technical team (data engineers, ML engineers, cloud architects) as we scale. • Support fundraising efforts by translating technical complexity into compelling narratives for investors. • Foster a culture of Agility, innovation, and resilience in alignment with the True Agile Mindset philosophy. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE EDUCATION: • Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field; equivalent experience considered. EXPERIENCE: • 5-10 years in AI/ML, data science, or cloud architecture roles. • Proven leadership in building or scaling AI systems in startup or entrepreneurial contexts. • Hands-on experience with LLM fine-tuning, multimodal AI, and generative architectures. • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps, and security best practices. • Familiarity with affective computing, NLP, reinforcement learning, and applied psychology in AI systems a strong plus.
