The role involves auditing and assessing the quality of AI-generated text to ensure grammatical accuracy and stylistic consistency, acting as a crucial checkpoint for linguistic excellence. Responsibilities • Perform detailed quality audits on batches of text data to identify linguistic errors (typos, grammar slips, syntax issues) and formatting inconsistencies • Verify that content strictly adheres to provided style guides (e.g., AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style) and specific project instructions • Grade and categorize errors based on severity (e.g., critical failure vs. minor stylistic preference) to provide actionable metrics on model performance • Provide constructive feedback on the work of other writers and annotators to help improve the overall quality of the team's output • Differentiate between regional English standards (e.g., ensuring a prompt requesting "UK English" receives a response using British spelling and vocabulary) Skills • Proven experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Proofreading, Copy Editing, or a related field within the publishing or tech industries • Impeccable command of English mechanics, including advanced grammar, punctuation rules, and sentence structure • Deep familiarity with major style guides and the ability to quickly adapt to custom internal style manuals • A meticulous, detail-oriented mindset with the patience to review large volumes of text without losing focus • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time across multiple projects Benefits • Flexibility: 100% remote with no fixed schedule.
