English Writing Tutor
We are an education organization seeking an experienced English Writing Tutor to support middle school and high school students in building strong writing foundations.
This role is academic-focused and requires structured, systematic instruction rather than casual conversation practice.
Responsibilities:
• Teach English writing fundamentals (sentence structure, paragraph development, organization, clarity)
• Support grammar instruction
• Help students plan, draft, revise, and improve written assignments
• Provide clear explanations and constructive, actionable feedback
• Adapt instruction based on student level and learning needs
Qualifications:
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience in English writing (required)
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain concepts clearly
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field (preferred)
• Passion for working with students and supporting academic growth
• Reliable, professional, and well-organized
• Authorized to work in the United States
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
