The Role:
As a mid-level UPS Technician, you’ll be on the front lines, keeping critical power systems up and running across New England. You’ll get hands-on experience with UPS systems, battery banks, and related electronics, and we provide on-the-job training to help you continue growing.
What You’ll Do:
• Maintain a safe working environment and report potential concerns.
• Perform preventive maintenance: check, clean, and repair UPS equipment.
• Conduct initial start-ups of new UPS systems.
• Respond to 24/7 on-call emergency service calls.
• Travel across New England, lifting 50+ lbs regularly.
• Collaborate on large installations and custom projects.
• Educate customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, co-workers, and sales reps.
• Safeguard company tools, equipment, and proprietary information.
• Troubleshoot critical power systems efficiently, minimizing downtime.
• Maintain your vehicle in safe working condition with a valid license and insurance.
• Identify potential sales opportunities for critical power solutions and coordinate with sales teams.
• Complete accurate paperwork, including Field Service Reports, timecards, and expense reports.
• Maintain technical documentation for ongoing learning and reference.
• Mentor less experienced technicians and attend product-specific training.
Looking For:
• Mid-level technician with approximately 5 years of hands-on experience in electronics or critical power systems.
• Self-starter who can work independently and with a team.
• Experience or educational background in electronics or electronic systems.
• Eagerness to learn and develop expertise in UPS and battery systems.
