About the Role: Customer Service Representative

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional customer service support to our Review Team. As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for interacting with beneficiaries and providers via our helpline, creating, formatting, and proofreading letters, and maintaining timeliness. This position requires a great deal of decision-making in regard to complex appeals and a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to beneficiaries and providers via phone, email, and mail
• Create, format, and proofread letters and other correspondence
• Maintain accurate and timely records and reports
• Foster effective working relationships between internal and external customers
• Assist with and participate in identifying areas for potential improvement
• Answer the Beneficiary Helpline and determine the best course of action to assist callers
• Utilize internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Post-high school business courses helpful
• Medical terminology desired
• Excellent verbal communication skills, courteous and patient demeanor, and the ability to maintain composure under potentially stressful situations
• Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, and written communications skills
• Customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
• General knowledge of a PC-based computer system desirable, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and work independently

Experience:

We are looking for candidates with:

• Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities
• Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology recommended
• Previous data entry or other clerical experience is a plus
