About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home and enjoy a great work-life balance. As a key member of our Review Team, you will provide exceptional customer service support, interacting with beneficiaries and providers via our helpline, creating and proofreading letters, and maintaining timeliness. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service support to beneficiaries and providers via the helpline, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Create, format, and proofread letters, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain effective working relationships between internal and external customers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Assist in identifying areas for potential improvement, participating in case reviews, and contributing to process enhancements.
- Answer the Beneficiary Helpline, utilizing the hunt group and available light functions to determine the best course of action for each caller.
- Validate notices and medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide intake for all appeals received, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Utilize internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes, driving continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with post-high school business courses being helpful.
- Medical terminology knowledge is desirable, but not essential.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, a courteous and patient demeanor, and the ability to maintain composure under potentially stressful situations.
- Strong written communication skills, with good grammar, punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, and attention to detail.
- A customer-focused approach, with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
- General knowledge of PC-based computer systems, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities.
- Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology experience is recommended, with previous data entry or other clerical experience being a plus.
