VA for Chat Support
Job Description:
I run an online business selling digital products and receive a high volume of customer messages every day. I am looking for a reliable and experienced Virtual Assistant to handle customer chat support in a professional, calm, and rule-driven manner.
This role is focused on batch-based chat support, not live 24/7 coverage.
Responsibilities:
Respond to customer messages via chat on an online marketplace
Work twice per day (once at the start of the day and once at the end of the day)
Answer customer questions clearly and professionally
Handle complaints and support requests while strictly following provided rules
Process disputes and replacement requests according to guidelines
Adapt wording and explanations to each situation while respecting all policies
Escalate unclear or edge cases instead of making assumptions
Maintain polite, calm, and professional communication at all times
Important Rules:
All rules and policies must be followed strictly
You may adjust tone and explanations, but must not promise refunds, replacements, or exceptions outside the rules
Any unclear, sensitive, or unusual case must be escalated for review
Requirements:
Proven experience in customer support or chat support (digital products or marketplaces preferred)
Excellent written English
Ability to handle disputes and difficult customers calmly
Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
Trustworthy and able to follow instructions precisely
Workload & Duration:
Less than 25 hours per week to start
Workload may increase based on performance
Long-term position (minimum 1 year) for the right candidate
