Key Responsibilities

• Execute solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, statistical modeling, and machine learning methods
• Continuously develop and demonstrate advanced analysis techniques
• Have strong analytical skills and be comfortable owning data and working from concept through to execution
• Determine a business problem and the available data, and identify what analysis and modeling procedures can be applied to answer a business question
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve decision-making
• Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support business intelligence and analytics
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Computer Science
• At least 2+ years of experience in modeling/AI or a related field
• Proven comfort and intellectual curiosity for working with extremely large sets of data, and hands-on experience in predictive modeling
• Strong knowledge of one or both of R or Python
• Experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from multiple sources to highlight patterns and relationships
• Understanding of how and when to apply predictive and machine learning procedures like logistic regression, random forests, GBM, Neural Nets, SVM, etc.
• Proficiency in using database querying tools and able to write complex queries and procedures using Teradata SQL or Microsoft T-SQL
• Hands-on experience in using Big Data environments (Hadoop/Spark), API Gateways, and non-structured data will be an plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a quantitative field like Math, Statistics, Operations Research, or MBA
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and tools
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
