CMMC Cyber Security Consultant W2 role fully remote

Fully Remote 6+ months contract Pure W2 role No agency or C2C will NOT be considered and Visa sponsorship is not available nor provided. Overview: Responsible for driving organizational compliance with federal mandates, specifically CMMC Level 2 and NIST standards, ensuring proper handling and support for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). This role will assess current processes, identify gaps, and lead strategic initiatives to achieve full compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Lead efforts to bring the company into conformance with CMMC Level 2 and NIST 800-171 requirements. • Evaluate whether compliance objectives are best achieved through internal resources or external consultants. • Engage and manage consultants for advisory and implementation support as needed. • Conduct gap analysis and develop remediation plans for compliance deficiencies. • Provide high-level infrastructure strategy, including evaluating services and technologies to support compliance and security objectives. • Collaborate with leadership to define business process changes required for compliance. • Oversee implementation of compliance controls and monitor ongoing adherence. Qualifications: • Strong understanding of CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, and federal compliance standards. • Experience in IT infrastructure strategy, risk assessment, and security frameworks. • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external consultants. • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
