Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician and Data Entry Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be the front and center of our patient-centric approach, interacting with our customers and developing strong relationships with them. You will be responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, processing prescriptions, and providing exceptional customer service. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be working remotely and will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient and drug information into our pharmacy systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, including processing prescriptions and providing patient care
• Develop strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service
• Accurately and efficiently enter patient and drug information into our pharmacy systems
• Process prescriptions, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets
• Verify medication accuracy and check for potential interactions
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Strictly adhere to the arenaflex Policy regarding faithful dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required
• Take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding products
• Handle phone calls that don't require personal attention of the pharmacist
• Process manual claims for third-party application prescription services in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager

Essential Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Preferred qualifications include six months of experience in a retail environment
• Previous work experience with arenaflex is a plus
• Desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
• Basic computer skills are required
• Knowledge of store inventory control is preferred
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
