Fuel Accounting Clerk

Maverik, Inc. is a company that offers adventures along with job opportunities. The Fuel Accounting Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring accurate documentation, billing, and reconciliation of fuel deliveries, partnering with vendors and store teams to maintain precise financial records.

Responsibilities

• Enter fuel supplier invoices and verify proper supporting documentation
• Accurately enter driver fuel delivery orders to prepare for billing
• Ensure driver paperwork aligns with delivery reports and fuel loads are billed to the correct store location
• Maintain organized and accurate records of bills of lading, invoices, and delivery tickets
• Reconcile vendor payments and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with period-end reconciliations and miscellaneous audit activities
• Communicate with stores and drivers to ensure documentation accuracy and resolve issues

Skills

• 1+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, accounts payable, or a related role
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process and reconcile high-volume transactions
• Experience working with invoices, documentation, and financial records
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with stores, drivers, vendors, and internal teams

• An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with fuel accounting, logistics, or inventory-related billing
• Familiarity with reconciliations, audits, or period-end close processes
