[Remote] Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Networking Services Finance

They are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the AWS Networking Services business, focusing on financial planning, decision support, and financial reporting. Responsibilities • Lead cross-functional business discussions with Networking services stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence • Partner with business and finance leaders to identify key performance drivers, risks, and opportunities across all Networking service lines • Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support business strategy development and execution • Own the monthly financial reporting process for all Networking services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights • Drive and manage key reporting timelines including weekly business reviews, monthly closes, and quarterly planning cycles • Coordinate cross-functional data collection and validation processes to ensure reporting accuracy • Consolidate and analyze key performance metrics including revenue, usage patterns, infrastructure cost, and profitability measures • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and executive-level reporting packages • Synthesize complex financial and operational data from multiple sources to create coherent business narratives • Conduct competitive benchmarking analysis to assess Networking services performance relative to market standards • Monitor industry trends, pricing dynamics, and competitive positioning to inform strategic planning • Begin analyzing the prior week's revenue metrics and preparing variance commentary for the weekly Networking services business review • Review monthly performance against plan, identifying key drivers behind revenue fluctuations • Synthesize financial data from multiple service lines into executive-ready insights • Facilitate discussions between business and finance leadership on performance drivers and competitive positioning • Update monthly reporting packages, conduct variance analysis, and prepare revenue commentary connecting financial results to operational drivers Skills • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) • MBA, or CPA • Knowledge of Tableau • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience • Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization Benefits • Equity • Sign-on payments • Medical • Financial • Other benefits Company Overview • Launched in 2006, Amazon Web Services (AWS) began exposing key infrastructure services to businesses in the form of web services -- now widely known as cloud computing.
