Chip Firmware Development, Intern
Lightmatter is a photonic computer company leading the revolution in AI data center infrastructure. They are seeking an Intern for their Software team to contribute to embedded software development and support system-level testing and validation.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to production embedded software and firmware codebases
- Enhance firmware testing and integration framework development for embedded projects
- Incorporate development kit hardware test workflows into the software review and approval process
- Write and debug integration tests for embedded systems
- Collaborate with hardware and verification teams to support system-level testing and validation
Skills
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field)
- Familiarity with software design concepts and working experience with embedded Linux
- Knowledge of data pipeline and data reporting / monitoring frameworks
- Proficiency with GitHub and CI tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Programming experience in Python and/or C/C++
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
