[Remote] Clinical R&D Summer Intern

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Nuvation Bio is a biopharmaceutical company focused on oncology, aiming to develop innovative therapeutic candidates. The Clinical R&D Summer Intern will rotate through various functions in the Clinical R&D Department, gaining insights into medical monitoring, clinical operations, and more.

Responsibilities

• The intern will be responsible for attending meetings, assisting with functional tasks within the department
• The intern together with their mentor will identify a key program to focus on for the final internship project
• Deliverables during internship will include assigned tasks and presentation of final project at the end of the summer internship program which will include a presentation in the form of a poster, abstract or presentation

Skills

• Must be pursuing a B.S. or M.S. (e.g., an enrolled student working towards a degree) in a scientific discipline of life sciences, chemistry, biology, biotechnology, materials science, etc.,) with an interest in medical, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical research & development
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a sense of urgency
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Thorough understanding of clinical methodologies and providing sound analytical support
• Action-oriented self-starter
• Ability to establish and nurture highly effective relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders
• Emotional intelligence, curiosity, and a knack to figure out a way to build something better
• Strong presenter and effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Acts with a clear sense of ownership
• Can manage in an environment of ambiguity
