Associate, Paralegal
GIC is one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, investing globally across various asset classes. They are seeking a Paralegal to join their Legal and Compliance team in New York City, responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal agreements while addressing risk and compliance issues.
Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating confidentiality, vendor engagement and non-reliance agreements for all business areas
- Liaising with business, LCD colleagues and other risk management functions to address risk/control issues
- Dealing with queries from the business on all areas of responsibility related to the above responsibilities
Skills
- Candidates should have relevant qualifications and work experience negotiating contracts in a corporate environment
- Candidates should be highly motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Meticulous with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required
- Candidates will be advantaged if they have specific experience negotiating confidentiality, vendor engagement and non-reliance agreements or similar complex legal contracts
- At least six months paralegal experience gained either with a law firm or a financial institution is preferred
