[Remote] Working Student / Intern - AI/LLM Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ilert is a Software as a Service (SaaS) company based in Cologne, specializing in alerting, on-call management, and incident communication. They are seeking a Working Student / Intern to collaborate with the engineering team on developing and optimizing AI/LLM applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our engineering team to develop and optimize AI/LLM applications
• Work with cutting-edge language models including Claude and GPT to solve real-world business challenges
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, from prototyping to production
• Learn and contribute to best practices in AI engineering and prompt engineering
• Help evaluate and implement new AI models and capabilities

Skills

• Currently enrolled student in Computer Science or related technical field
• Basic knowledge of software development principles and practices
• Interest in AI/ML, particularly in large language models
• Familiarity with or eagerness to learn Rust
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
