With a strong presence in the U.S. healthcare system, arenaflex pharmacists play a vital role in providing a wide range of pharmacy and healthcare services, including those that promote equitable access to care for medically underserved populations. **Job Responsibilities** As an Experienced Data Scientist – Real-World Evidence (RWE) at arenaflex, you will be responsible for producing high-quality RWE through advanced analytics and innovative processes within the medical trials space. You will be a key member of the Scientific Affairs group and will have a strong preference for leading internal and external decision-making through the application of cutting-edge data technology and science. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Data Analysis and Interpretation**: Provide standardized, analysis-ready patient cohorts from in-house data properties or certified systems, examine and interpret results, and assist in forming analytics strategy. * **Collaboration and Partnerships**: Partner with other members of the arenaflex Clinical Trial group to provide actionable insights from real-world, medical, and other data assets to support biopharmaceutical RWE and medical trial requests. * **Data Management**: Clean, transform, and store data into an integrated data lake for future analysis and broader group consumption. * **Data Mining and Statistical Analysis**: Perform data mining and statistical analysis to investigate RWE/RWD to identify new insights concerning patient populations and treatment results. * **Platform Development**: Support the development of real-world data, analytics, and platform capabilities, applying advanced analytics and tools to address medical questions from biopharmaceutical companies. * **Results Reporting**: Collaborate on the design and execution of results reporting research. * **Quality Assurance**: Ensure high-quality, rigorous, and easily interpretable deliverables from RWE research and analyses. * **Dashboard Development**: Build dashboards, analytics, and reports for internal and external consumption. * **Due Diligence**: Conduct due diligence on new real-world data companies and perform RWD quality tests to inform investment decisions. **Essential Qualifications** * **Bachelor's Degree or Higher**: Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in a quantitative or computational field, such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related field. * **Programming Experience**: Four years of experience in R, Python, or SQL programming languages. * **Statistical Analysis**: Experience in designing and executing strong and reproducible statistical analyses within the context of epidemiology and observational studies with healthcare data. * **Data Processing**: Experience processing large data from diverse data sources. * **Healthcare Data**: Experience handling protected patient health data. * **BI Intelligence Tools**: Knowledge of at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or other BI intelligence tools. **Preferred Qualifications** * **Advanced Degree**: Ph.D. or Master's degree in a field such as statistics, biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, or related field. * **EMR/Health IT Experience**: Expertise in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Health Information Technology (Health IT), disease registries, and policy claims databases. * **Clinical Data Standards**: Knowledge of clinical data standards, medical terminologies, and managed vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode). * **GCP and Regulatory Compliance**: Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/or regulatory compliance guidelines for real-world evidence research or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR). * **Alternative Data Sources**: Experience working with alternative data sources and alternative methods of medical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology systems and/or solutions. * **Experimental Design**: Experience with experimental design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, and computational
