VP Engineering, Quality & Tools

This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape how a growing engineering organization delivers high-quality, reliable software will oversee Quality Engineering, Developer Experience, Technical Operations, and Internal Tools, ensuring systems are resilient, processes are efficient, and customer experience is seamless.
You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to improve development workflows, establish automation-first practices, and drive strategic initiatives that impact the entire engineering organization. This role balances hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight, providing a platform to mentor engineering leaders while driving organizational excellence. Ideal candidates are collaborative, customer-focused, and experienced in leading complex software development functions with a focus on quality and operational efficiency.
Accountabilities
• Define and execute the roadmap for engineering quality, reliability, and internal tooling
• Champion a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to evolve software build, test, and deployment processes
• Lead the Quality Engineering organization, establishing best practices in testing, automation, and CI/CD
• Oversee Technical Operations to ensure timely triage and resolution of customer-reported issues
• Improve Developer Experience to increase developer velocity, satisfaction, and efficiency
• Guide internal tools teams to deliver scalable, impactful tools for support and operational teams
• Troubleshoot complex issues, design solutions, and model best practices
Mentor engineers and managers to cultivate future leaders within the organization
Requirements
• 8+ years of engineering leadership experience, with deep expertise in Quality/Test Engineering
• Proven success leading engineering organizations across multiple domains, ideally including DevX, Tech Ops, or internal tools
• Strong technical skills with the ability to contribute hands-on while scaling teams and systems
• Experience improving software development lifecycle processes, from build to deploy to monitoring, in complex environments
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and building for reliability at scale
• Customer-first mindset, ensuring engineering quality translates into better outcomes
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and retain top technical talent
• Collaborative and strong communication skills, comfortable working cross-functionally with product, design, and support teams
• Bias toward action, balancing strategic initiatives with tactical execution
