Job Overview

The Senior Manager Product Management - Customer Experience is responsible for assessing market needs, inspiring cross-functional product teams, and delivering business value to drive sales, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. You will guide and execute the delivery of quality products, working closely with teams of developers, designers, and business partners. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving change management, process improvement, and leading senior-level Product Managers and teams of Product Managers responsible for high-profile products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning (40%): Develop and execute product strategies, set overall product vision, and apply domain expertise to drive business growth. Collaborate across the enterprise to create alignment between products, understand financial and business impact, and prioritize updates to support the enterprise roadmap.
  • Delivery & Execution (30%): Drive product development, review performance, and direct work efforts of product teams to ensure products are aligned with company, stakeholder, and end-user priorities. Document, review, and validate products to meet quality and change control standards, and resolve issues that may impair teams from delivering quality products.
  • People (30%): Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Product Managers, attract, retain, and develop top talent, and conduct annual and mid-year reviews. Foster collaboration with team members, advocate for modern software development practices, and educate requestors to determine priority based on tangible benefits and/or user experience.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in product management, with a focus on customer experience and driving business growth.
  • A bachelor's degree in a field related to the job, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in communicating with and influencing functional and technical team members at all levels in the organization.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, fluid environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development product management practices and agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in product management, with a focus on customer experience and driving business growth.
  • Mastery of working as a Product Manager in a modern software development-based enterprise environment, overseeing multiple products.
  • Experience with extreme programming (XP) principles, paired programming, test-driven development, and continuous deployment.
  • Proficiency in creating, prioritizing, and accepting user stories, conducting user research and testing, and identifying goals, metrics, and analytics to measure product value.
  • Experience guiding more junior team members through Product Management fundamentals in a professional setting.
