College Counselor for 11th Grader Transitioning to 12th Grade

Description: We are seeking an experienced College Counselor to mentor and guide a 9th-grade student who will be entering 10th grade this fall. The ideal candidate will help the student identify her interests and select a suitable major. Additionally, the counselor will assist in tailoring her resume and activities to align with her college aspirations and provide ongoing support throughout the college application process. Responsibilities Include: Assess the student's interests and strengths to help select a potential major. Provide guidance on selecting and applying to colleges. Tailor the student's resume and extracurricular activities to enhance her college applications. Offer mentorship and support to help shape the student's college application according to her goals. Regularly communicate with the student and her family to ensure alignment and progress. Requirements: Proven experience as a College Counselor or similar role. Strong understanding of college admissions processes and requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to mentor and guide students effectively. Familiarity with tailoring resumes and extracurricular activities for college applications. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with high school students, particularly those in 9th and 10th grades. Knowledge of various college majors and career paths.
