About the position OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology. Responsibilities and Duties OCT currently has an opening for an Information Assurance/Security Engineer to work with one of our federal clients. This person will be a Security Engineer with a high focus on Vulnerability Management with one or more areas of deep expertise. They will clearly articulate risks to technical and non-technical audiences regularly. They will develop and present briefing and slide presentations regarding the Vulnerability status of the network environment to system owners and stakeholders. They must be experienced in utilizing various systems security tools such as SIEM and running security scans. They must have experience using CSAM or other RMF approved system of record. This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities • Documenting vulnerabilities identified, and the actions taken • Preparing and providing client and stakeholder briefings on vulnerabilities and related activities • Ensuring your project deliverables are delivered on time and meet OCT quality standards Requirements • Must be a U.S. Citizen • BA/BS degree in IT related field • 2-4 years of experience with Vulnerability Management and one or more additional areas of expertise: Access Control, Network Security, or Cryptography • Experience using CSAM or other RMF approved system of record • 2-4 years of experience AND current CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CISSP • Proof of Certification(s) required • Passing a background check will be required • Onsite is required as needed, but at least one day per week Benefits • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance • Retirement savings 401K plan provided by an industry leading provider with 3% employer contributions of the employee’s gross salary • Paid Time Off and Standard Government Holidays • Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term disability benefits • Training Benefits Apply tot his job Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
