UI/UX Designer / Developer

Position: UI/UX Designer / Developer Location: Albany, NY (Onsite/Remote) Experience: 10+ Years Work type: C2C only Visa Type: H1-B, GC and US Citizen PETADATA is currently hiring for an UI/UX Designer / Developer for one of their clients. Roles & Responsibilities: User Research & Analysis • Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability studies • Analyze user behavior, requirements, and pain points • Create user personas, user journeys, and experience maps UX Design • Design intuitive and user-centered experiences • Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes • Define information architecture and interaction design • Ensure accessibility and usability best practices (WCAG) UI Design • Design visually appealing and consistent user interfaces • Create high-fidelity mockups and design systems • Define typography, color palettes, icons, and layouts • Maintain brand consistency across applications Prototyping & Testing • Build interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback • Iterate designs based on user testing and stakeholder input UI Development • Translate designs into responsive user interfaces • Develop UI using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, Vue • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility • Optimize UI performance and responsiveness Collaboration & Communication • Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate design implementation • Present design concepts and rationale to teams and leadership Design Systems & Documentation • Create and maintain design systems and component libraries • Document design guidelines, patterns, and standards • Ensure scalability and consistency across products Accessibility & Standards • Apply accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) • Ensure inclusive design for diverse user groups • Follow usability and UX best practices Continuous Improvement • Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies • Analyze user feedback and product metrics • Continuously refine and improve user experiences Optional / Senior-Level Responsibilities • Lead UX strategy and design direction • Mentor junior designers and UI developers • Drive design thinking workshops • Define and evolve company-wide design standards Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or UI Developer • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles • Hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision • Experience with prototyping and usability testing • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (for UI development roles) • Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue (preferred) • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) • Experience working with design systems and component libraries • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Ability to present design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences Key Skills & Tools Design Tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision Prototyping: Figma, Axure, Marvel Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React (for UI developers) UX Methods: User research, usability testing, accessibility Collaboration: Jira, Confluence, Slack Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field We offer a professional work environment and are given every opportunity to grow in the Information technology world.
