About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician and Data Entry Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will be the face of our company, interacting with our customers, and developing strong patient relationships. You will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and provide exceptional customer service. If you are a certified pharmacy technician, you will also assist and coach other pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cashiers in the operation of the pharmacy cash registers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, according to state, federal, and company policy
  • Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensure data is entered efficiently, and fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets
  • Verify medication is accurate and check for possible interactions
  • Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow
  • Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program
  • Model and provide a unique and delightful customer experience, engaging customers and patients by greeting them and providing assistance with services and products
  • Resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. You should also have a strong foundation in math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications. Additionally, you should have basic computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 months of experience in a retail environment
  • Previous work experience with arenaflex
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
