About the Role

In this critical role, you will act as the initial point of contact for inquiries from potential and existing beneficiaries and community-based organizations related to our programs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide one-to-one telephone contact with applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees in customer service roles, ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to resolving issues efficiently. You will accurately document enrollment requests, status changes, complaints, and grievances, and enter application and enrollment information into our web-based computer system for customers wishing to apply for the program over the telephone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear, complete, accurate, and objective information based on a full understanding of program requirements
  • Maintain technical and program policy proficiency in our rules and guidelines, as well as other related program policies
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and co-workers
  • Problem-solve through analysis and ongoing feedback, achieving results through knowledge, empathy, and commitment
  • Work with people of diverse backgrounds, demonstrating a high level of cultural competence and sensitivity

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a basic understanding of a call center environment in a customer service role and quality monitoring processes. You should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and co-workers, and have the ability to problem-solve through analysis and ongoing feedback. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a background and drug screening will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
