Employment Law Associate Attorney (Remote)
Responsibilities
• Represent clients in employment law cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment claims.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support cases and provide sound legal advice.
• Participate in client consultations to gather information and discuss legal strategies.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients with opposing parties and their counsel.
• Prepare and present cases in court or before administrative agencies as necessary.
• Stay updated on changes in employment law to ensure compliance and inform clients appropriately.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5+ years of employment law experience
• Strong background in employment litigation and defence
• Experience with compliance matters, employee handbooks, and employment law counselling
• Demonstrated experience defending school districts
• Significant experience handling PAGA matters
• Commitment to proactive and strategic case management
• Active California Bar license in good standing
