Role Overview
The Senior Pension Consultant will manage a portfolio of customers and will be the subject matter expert for their pension arrangements. They will be responsible for ensuring that their schemes are compliant and through a comprehensive governance process will advise the client on industry updates, legislation, benchmark their schemes and devise engagement and communication plans for their employees.

Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for ensuring that the customers in your portfolio remain compliant with the changing UK pension legislation and be confident in challenging customers should they be at risk of non-compliance.
• Through regular pension governance meetings, you will be able to ensure that the schemes are not only compliant but also providing positive member outcomes for the employees. Through a robust governance process with follow up actions, you will provide advice as to where improvements could be made either through reviews being undertaken (both provider and default investment) but also where additional engagement services can be provided
• You will liaise with other customer facings teams to ensure that you are joined up across the business and the wider benefits planning that is ongoing.
• Identifying areas of cross-selling and, through a consultancy approach, enhance the services that we provide to customers to drive revenue growth whilst improving outcomes for members.
• As a Senior Consultant you will support other consultants to develop as well as be an advocate for Benifex and the Workplace Savings Team through producing thought leadership articles and at attendance of industry events.
What are we looking for?
• Extensive experience of a consultancy environment specifically working with and advising DC pension scheme clients.
• Proven experience of managing a portfolio of customers.
• Customer facing experience, and experience of dealing with Board Level decision makers.
• Demonstrable experience of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders within organisations.
• A relevant UK Pension / Financial planning qualification (such as FPC, PMI or a Diploma in financial planning)
Nice to have:
• Experience presenting to employees either face to face or remotely.
• Sales experience and the ability to drive revenue through consultative conversations.
• Knowledge and experience of TUPE legislation.
