Director - Inclusion & Belonging
As the Director of I&B Business, Talent & Engagement, you will co-create and champion Pinterest’s enterprise-wide Inclusion & Belonging (I&B) strategy. In this highly visible role, you will partner closely with the Chief I&B Officer and Leadership to design and execute impactful initiatives that advance inclusion, belonging, and business results across all functions, regions, and the talent lifecycle. As a transformation leader, you will leverage your strong understanding of AI to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of I&B efforts. Your ability to influence at the enterprise level will help create measurable organizational change and drive meaningful I&B outcomes at Pinterest.
What you’ll do:
• Strategic Leadership & Vision
• Co-create and set the strategic direction for Inclusion & Belonging (I&B), ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and enterprise strategy in partnership with the Chief I&B Officer and executive team.
• Serve as a primary influencer, advisor, and strategic partner to senior executives, functional leaders, and the Board on I&B priorities, impact, and trends.
• Guide the continuous evolution of company-wide I&B interventions, playbooks, and frameworks embedded in business, talent, and engagement priorities.
• Enterprise Change & Influence
• Sponsor and lead company-scale change initiatives to embed inclusion and belonging in all aspects of Pinterest’s culture, operations, and business practices.
• Build and lead partnerships with executives and cross-functional business leaders to promote, prioritize, and integrate I&B strategy across the enterprise.
• Sponsor and lead company-scale inclusion, equity, and belonging programs and change initiatives, ensuring organization-wide adoption and sustained transformation.
• Drive executive alignment, ownership, and accountability for I&B as a business imperative throughout all levels and regions of the company.
• Create strategy and own, as well as lead and develop enterprise-wide councils/function/region, employee resource groups(Pinclusion Groups), and communities of practice, building global leadership pipelines for I&B impact
• Talent & Organizational Development
• Oversee and advance I&B strategies across the full talent lifecycle, including equitable hiring, advancement, mobility, and retention of underrepresented groups.
• Develop and implement robust succession planning for critical I&B leadership roles; build next-generation I&B capability through coaching and leader development.
• Mentor and grow high-performing teams, managers, and senior ICs within the I&B function and across business partners.
• Data-driven Accountability & Measurement
• Establish and own outcome-driven OKRs/KPIs for talent, engagement, and I&B impact; regularly review progress with CIBO, PTLT and functional leaders.
• Leverage People Analytics insights to identify trends, adjust strategy, and drive continuous measurable improvements in enterprise talent and engagement outcomes.
• Ensure rigorous tracking, transparent internal and board-level reporting, and a culture of data-driven action and impact.
• Cross-functional & Global Partnership
• Forge trusted partnerships with Business, HR, Talent, Legal, L&D, Communications, and regional leaders; drive I&B integration into planning, operations, and business reviews.
• Embed global and local equity practices into all I&B strategies, adapting solutions for regional and international growth and challenges.
• Serve as an internal and external spokesperson for Pinterest’s I&B vision, participating in executive, industry, and media events to further brand and impact.
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources or Business Management, or 10 + years of experience.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to drive and measure program impact and program innovation
• Experience designing and leading enterprise-scale inclusion, belonging, and equity strategy and programming.
• Demonstrated ability to drive executive-level change, transformation, and measurable results in a matrixed, global environment.
• Successful history advising C-level executives and senior leaders on talent, engagement, and I&B impact.
• Experience developing cross-functional and international partnerships, driving business alignment, and scaling inclusive talent practices.
• Expertise in leveraging analytics, data, and insights in driving leadership accountability and continuous improvement at scale.
• Demonstrated talent management experience—leading and developing high-performing teams, coaching leaders, and building future capability.

• We recognize that the ideal environment for work is situational and may differ across departments. What this looks like day-to-day can vary based on the needs of each organization or role.
• This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
