Primary responsibility will be to fulfill duties of remote pilot in command in support of Iris in a lead role for the project. This means a butt in the seat with good stick skills and ability to operate a large UAS in the NAS as well as develop and uphold procedures in conjunction with the Flight Test Lead. Ideally they have some experience with leading and/or managing people or projects. Required: Given our current operating approvals, we can be slightly flexible in certification requirements but at minimum a Part 61 certificate with the ability to obtain an instrument but ideally they already have it. Experience operating medium to large UAS from purpose built GCS is a very strong requirement. Training of the individual needs to be focused more on the specifics around the system than on core skills. Additional Information: Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $149,900 - $245,000/yr. . The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
