Nutrition & CPT Certified Health Coach w/ advanced clinical experience

The Role: An OWN IT Health Coach is a tip-of-the-spear professional who possesses the coaching expertise to lead and inspire high-performing clients as they are guided towards sustainable and impactful lifestyle change. Utilizing the OWN IT method, health coaches are required to consider the whole individual, understand client motivations, strengths, and values to effectively lead clients in their health journey. Health coaches are looked to for accountability, ingenuity and expertise while guiding clients in taking action in both their personal and professional lives. Currently, we are seeking health coaches who have a minimum of 5 years of experience with the certifications outlined in the role requirements below. Coaches must demonstrate a high level of competence in utilizing directive coaching and creating a personalized health system, inclusive of custom nutrition and fitness plans, based on a series of testing and biometric data to outline their roadmap to success. Our goal is to empower our coaches to do their most impactful work as supported by modern technology, clear guidelines, dedicated resources and a collaborative community. In the long term, we desire coaches to evolve into more hands-on roles where they will shape the culture of OWN IT while operating as leaders for the next generation of OWN IT coaches. Role Requirements: • preferred All applicants are required to hold a nutrition-related certification as outlined below: • *Registered Dietitian • *Certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (CDRN) • *Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP) • *Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) • Functional Medicine and Human Nutrition (Bachelor’s or Master’s) • Functional Medicine Health Coach • American Fitness Professionals and Associates (AFPA) • Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition (BCHN) All applicants are required to hold a personal training-related certification as outlined below: • *National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) • *Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) • *Certified Strength Coach (CSC) - National Council on Strength & Fitness • National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) • American Council on Exercise (ACE) OWN IT is seeking coaches with the following preferred experience: • Master’s Degree in a Health science-related field; • Provide evidence of a minimum of 5 Years of experience working with clients as a certified health practitioner; • Provide evidence of approximately 5 years of experience working with and applying clinical lab results in work with clients is required; • Demonstrate an understanding of programming with HR zones, VO2 Max, progressive overload and working with multiple types of programming, including athletic performance, body composition, including weight loss and muscle gain, injury management, recovery programming, etc. • Ability to utilize data effectively to drive changes and understand client habits (HRV trends, sleep quality, strain/activity tracking, VO2 max, etc); • Demonstrate prior experience and dedication to delivering client outcomes, specifically in respect to health education and coaching around sleep, behavioral health, fitness & intentional movement, nutrition & hydration and mindset; • Clinical experience and/or work with integrative lab work (such as DNA Epigenetic, ALCAT, Access Medical Labs, Genova, DUTCH, etc); • Outpatient experience working 1:1 with clients and previous 1:1 coaching experience; • Ability to translate relevant health education and tools to equip clients as the masters of their own health from an intentional and informed perspective; • Experience includes nutrition programming, analyzing clinical labs, food-first approach programming and expertise in guiding clients through nutrition habit changes. • Passion to be a part of building something innovative and mission-driven, actively providing feedback and insights to support the continued evolution of the OWN IT program over time; • Adaptable to change within a start-up company; • High competency with technology and applications, as coaches are required to communicate effectively through multiple mediums daily to maintain the coach-client relationship. • High organizational skills and attention to detail in record keeping & charting; • Experience with video-based and chat-based coaching, with confidence in the ability to foster trusting, mutual connections online; • Willingness to adhere to OWN IT coaching guidelines, values, protocols and procedures; Role Expectations: Health coaches will be contractors. At the onset, coaches are anticipated to work approximately 15 hours per week. Exceptional health coaches will be able to transition to part-time or full-time contracts as the opportunities arise, up to 30-40 hours per week. Compensation to be discussed in the interview process. The expectations of health coaches include: • Successful completion of the OWN IT Health Coach certification, at no additional cost; • Have access to a reliable internet connection and a professional location to conduct client calls; • Attend monthly company meetings and health coach professional development; • Complete required client sessions and daily coaching in accordance to the OWN IT guidelines in a professional manner; • Communicate with clients and provide daily support outside of monthly calls via the OWN IT app & text message service; • Complete required pre- and post-session prep work for clients and weekly client updates in a timely manner; • Utilize a data integration platform to monitor progress and maintain accountability for clients.
