Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience to all customers, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. As a knowledgeable and skilled team member, you will be expected to take orders, coordinate activities in the store, provide pricing and product information, and recommend appropriate arenaflex products and services. Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, will enable you to effectively interact with customers, vendors, and other team members, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, utilizing consultative skills to understand each customer's individualized needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Takes complex customer orders using order systems and provides accurate pricing information
  • Assembles parcels and prepares goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels
  • Sets up and operates printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer-supplied original media and documents
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Processes financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change
  • Cleans, repairs, and stocks all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability
  • Stays current on retail store merchandising materials and ensures proper display of all retail area product and signage

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 6+ months of specialized experience in a customer-facing role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, vendors, and other team members
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded:

  • Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a customer service or sales role
  • Knowledge of printing, signs, and graphics, and shipping products and services
  • Experience with Point of Sale terminals (POS) and financial transactions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively
