This role is an integral part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Key Responsibilities
- Complete data entry and balancing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing
- Work member cases/sports assigned and follow up with members as needed
- Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
- Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes and/or returns
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Complete daily balancing and department closing tasks
- Obtain information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
- Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information
- Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or GED and intermediate Excel and Word skills. Previous customer/member service experience and previous banking or Credit Union experience are preferred. You should also be skilled in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Additionally, you should have excellent customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
