About The Role The System Operations team deploys, upgrades, monitors, and maintains complex applications in high availability datacenters worldwide. The Systems Engineer role requires a deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, and the tools required to monitor and maintain it. The successful candidate will work independently and leverage strong troubleshooting skills to identify problems before clients do. What You'll Do • Play a key role in supporting and maintaining AWS Cloud infrastructure, with a focus on core services such as EC2, S3, IAM Roles, Workspaces, and other AWS technologies. • Provide support for co-located data centers that host virtual technologies, including but not limited to Zadara ZCompute. • Support enterprise applications including Active Directory, Kasm, SharePoint, SCCM, and SCOM. • Provide input and hands-on support for software deployment and updates using Azure-based CI/CD pipelines to streamline automation and reduce manual overhead. • Offer day-to-day operational support for various critical Windows and Linux-based web applications. • Maintain clear and proactive communication with stakeholders, ensuring they're informed of incident status, planned changes, and potential service interruptions. • Develop and maintain thorough internal documentation, including SOPs, technical guidelines, and knowledge base articles to improve team efficiency and continuity. • Collaborate with senior team members and cross-functional partners to gather client requirements, offer sound recommendations, and effectively manage expectations. • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, responding to after-hours incidents and ensuring minimal disruption to services. • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, contributing to team success and continuous improvement. What You Will Need To Succeed Basic Qualifications • 5+ years of post-graduate professional experience providing enterprise application administration • 3+ years of experience working in a 24/7/365, multi-tiered production environment • Willingness to work flexible hours • Ability to travel to client and FTI office(s) as needed • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship Preferred Qualifications • AWS Sysops or Architect certification • Strong understanding of AD Sites & Services, DNS, and Group Policy. • Prior exposure to Linux (Rocky or equivalent) • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or Elastic Search #LI-HB1 Total Wellbeing Our goal is to support the wellbeing of you and your families-physically, emotionally, and financially.
