Job Overview and Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, greeting them, guiding them through the check-in process, and assisting them with their ticketing and baggage needs. As a Ticket/Gate Agent, you will be responsible for:
- Owning the check-in process, boarding process, and seat availability, including making gate announcements and ensuring customers have the necessary travel documentation
- Tagging and lifting baggage from scales to conveyor belts, with some luggage weighing up to 70 pounds
- Operating loading bridges and opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors
- Escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport
- Providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
Scheduling and Work Environment
Scheduling for this role is based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. You can expect to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. Minimum Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
- At least 18 years of age and authorization to work in the United States
- Proficiency in English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation
- Basic digital literacy
- Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT)
- Ability to pass a Customer Service Assessment
Preferred Qualifications

- Previous customer service experience, preferably in the aviation industry
