GIS / Cartography Specialist for Investor-Grade Market Maps

We are seeking an experienced GIS or cartography specialist to create clean, presentation-ready market maps for use in real estate investor pitch decks and fundraising materials. This engagement is limited strictly to map creation only; all branding, layout, and final presentation design will be handled internally. Projects are primarily located in the southeastern United States. For each market, we will commission two maps: •Neighborhood Map (up to 1-mile radius) • Area Map (up to 5-mile radius) For each assignment, we will provide the state, city, site address, and a reference aerial view. Maps must incorporate the most current aerial imagery available and accurately placed points of interest. Points of Interest (POIs) POIs will vary by market and may include: • National retail • Grocery • Pharmacy • Hotels • Medical services / healthcare • Additional POIs as defined per site Design & Data Requirements • Use current aerial imagery and reliable GIS data sources • Roads, highways, and major arterials must be clearly legible • Maps must be visually clean, neutral, and unbranded • No logos, templates, watermarks, or branding elements Deliverables • SVG (fully editable, clean file structure) • PNG (high-resolution, presentation-ready) SVG files should be clean and editable, without unnecessary clipping masks or flattened elements. Pricing Structure • Fixed price per map • Two maps per market (Neighborhood + Area) • Candidates should propose per-map pricing in their application We anticipate ongoing work across multiple markets and are open to discussing volume efficiency over time. Turnaround Expectations • 48 hours per market (2 maps total) once inputs are provided • Turnaround clock begins upon receipt of: o Site address o Radius confirmation o POI categories Please note any constraints or exceptions in your proposal. Revisions • Includes one round of minor revisions, defined as: o POI additions/removals o Label adjustments o Minor radius refinements within scope • Excludes style changes after approval or full map rebuilds A consistent visual style will be established with the first market and applied to subsequent maps. Required Experience • Professional experience in GIS, cartography, or map design • Familiarity with tools such as Mapbox, ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar • Strong attention to geographic accuracy and visual hierarchy • Experience producing maps for real estate, development, or investor-facing materials preferred To Apply Please include: 1.
