Position Overview Over the next 25 years, the United States is expected to experience an extraordinary wealth transfer, with an estimated $84 trillion being passed from one generation to the next by 2045. This newly created role of Vice President of Investment Relations & Engagement is a strategic leadership position created to assist NCF in serving this wealth transfer well. This role serves as the primary champion between NCF’s national Investments team and the nationwide network of local offices, financial advisors, and givers. It combines investment knowledge, training ability, and relationship skills to ensure clear understanding of NCF’s investment strategy, pools, and features. The individual in this position drives unified communication, equips the field to articulate NCF’s offerings with confidence, and strengthens engagement and trust across the network. The ideal candidate brings credibility and clarity, able to communicate investment concepts to experts and those less familiar. This role serves as the face of NCF’s investment program under the direction of Investments leadership, providing expertise through in-person meetings with advisors and givers, and delivering training and presentations for local office teams. A passion for continuous learning, equipping others, and navigating both national and local contexts is essential. This position reports to the Investments team while serving local offices as its primary customer. Success depends on strong partnerships with Network Relations, Marketing & Offerings, and local office teams to ensure aligned messaging and produce materials that build understanding and confidence in NCF’s investment offerings. This position is remote or hybrid and may allow for a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work depending on location. We prefer the candidate to be local to the greater Atlanta area, though we value flexibility and are open to a remote candidate who is located near an NCF office in one of the following states: AR, CO, FL, IL, KS, KY, MN, MO, NC, PA, SC, TN, or WI. Reports to: SVP, Investments Management/Supervision: None Duties and Responsibilities Investment Relations & Strategic Engagement • Serves as the primary liaison between NCF’s Investments team and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear alignment, cohesive messaging, and mission-driven representation of NCF’s faith-based investment philanthropy. • Builds and maintains trusted relationships with Network Relations, local offices, financial advisors, and givers by providing strategic guidance, insights, and investment education. • Represents NCF’s Investments team in meetings, events, and conferences, serving as a trusted and influential voice for the organization’s faith-based investment philosophy. • Partners closely with Network Relations and Marketing & Offerings to establish consistent communication, alignment, and strategic support across all audiences. Investment Communication & Strategy Reporting • Leads the development and oversight of communication materials, including presentations, FAQs, and educational resources, in partnership with internal teams to strengthen understanding and engagement. • Establishes feedback mechanisms from the field to continuously enhance investment messaging, training resources, and communication strategies. • Partners with the SVP, Investments, to advance and execute the national investment strategy and facilitate communication across internal and external partners ensuring clarity and alignment. Local Office & Advisor Enablement • Acts as a trusted advisor to local offices and Relationship Managers by providing expert investment insight and strategic guidance, delivers impactful presentations, and supports financial advisor and giver engagement alongside Relationship Managers, and conducts training for local offices and regional teams. • Works closely with Relationship Managers to provide strategic and tactical support to NCF’s financial advisor community to strengthen advisor relationships and expand NCF’s advisor network. • Forges strategic partnerships with Network Relations and Marketing & Offerings leading cross-functional initiatives to equip local offices with tools, messaging, and materials that effectively position NCF’s investment offerings. Team Collaboration • Collaborates with investment officers, analysts, and operations staff to stay current on strategies, performance, and positioning, ensuring alignment between the field and investment operations. • Supports leadership with reports, board materials, and strategic communication initiatives. Other Duties and Responsibilities • Assists with projects and ad hoc requests as assigned. • Represent NCF’s Investments team at related investment industry conferences and events as needed. Experience • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in investment management, financial advisory, or other client-facing roles involving investment products, coupled with a proven ability to drive strategic influence. • Strong understanding of investment products across asset classes, including private markets and alternatives, portfolio construction, impact investing, and faith-based investing principles. • Experience working with and supporting financial advisors, institutional investors or distribution networks in an investment related capacity. • Demonstrated experience communicating complex financial concepts in accessible, relational terms in both public and customer facing settings and through meeting facilitation. • Proven track record equipping client-facing teams so customers feel informed and supported by their local representatives. • Familiarity with the generous giving space and nonprofits a plus. • Proven success in relationship management and influencing cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives, with experience in collaboration across diverse groups; familiarity with faith-based, nonprofit, or philanthropic organizations preferred. • Familiarity with investment databases and tools is a plus (e.g., Bloomberg, PitchBook, Preqin, eVestment). Knowledge Base • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems, and financial modeling. • Familiarity with institutional and alternative investments and impact investing. • Proven aptitude for “real time” problem diagnosis and solving. • Knowledge of charitable giving vehicles, non-profit, foundation, and/or donor related subject matters - the integration of faith and finance. • Strong sense of integrity, discretion, and professionalism. • Interest in and understanding of both alternative and traditional investments. • Able to perform duties independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. • Ability to balance technical expertise with relational engagement. Work Environment • Standard workweek of 40 hours - additional hours may be required during peak work periods and projects, such as fourth quarter and other peak periods throughout the year. • Hybrid environment with both office and travel responsibilities. • This position requires up to 75% travel, depending on events and network engagement needs. • Position is remote or hybrid and may allow for a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work depending on location. Benefits The annual target pay range is $150,000.00 - $210,000.00 and offers health care benefits, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, earned paid time off and/or sick leave, life insurance, disability coverage, and other life and work wellness benefits.
