Telemetry RN - Fort Wayne, IN

This opportunity is for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical care to work night shifts at a leading hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. This 13-week contract role offers a focused clinical experience in a 26-bed unit, providing care for patients in a Med Surg / Med Tele setting with a 6:1 patient ratio. The position includes rotating responsibilities, covering Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department holding areas, providing varied and engaging practice. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality nursing care according to established protocols and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure positive patient outcomes. The role operates with block scheduling during nights from 7 PM to 7 AM, with no call requirements and a maximum of 3 days for requested time off. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active RN license in Indiana • Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience • Current ACLS and BLS certifications • Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records • Ability to float between Medical-Surgical and ED holding units • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates excluded) Work Schedule: • Night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM • Block scheduling with floating requirements • No call back expectations The Fort Wayne area offers a welcoming Midwestern community known for its parks, cultural events, and family-friendly atmosphere.
