IT Project Manager – Athena EMR Integration (remote) NO THIRD PARTIES

Job Details: NO THIRD PARTIES IT Project Manager – Athena EMR Integration 6 month contract opening for a Project Manager with EMR experience. Role Overview • Lead and own the end-to-end timeline, milestones, dependencies, and critical path for solution integration components within a large-scale Athena EMR implementation • Drive successful delivery of technical integrations aligned with business, operational, and clinical objectives • Act as a hands-on delivery leader responsible for timelines, risks, vendor coordination, and go-live readiness Key Responsibilities • Own and manage the overall integration workstream within the Athena EMR implementation • Develop, maintain, and actively manage detailed project plans, schedules, dependencies, and critical path activities • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned to clinical and business goals • Lead design and development efforts for systems integration projects • Partner closely with clinical leadership, IT, operations, and Athenahealth resources to ensure successful execution • Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and constraints related to technical readiness, interfaces, and integrations • Escalate risks and issues appropriately to program and executive leadership • Facilitate collaboration across internal project teams, IT resources, and third-party vendors • Lead and support vendor-hosted project meetings, including: • Weekly status updates • Technical working sessions • Executive-level readouts and steering committee updates • Coordinate and manage third-party vendors to ensure delivery commitments are met • Participate in technical requirements definition and analysis to support successful integrations and go-live execution • Ensure integration solutions meet healthcare standards, workflows, and interoperability requirements Technical Focus Areas • Athena EMR implementation and integration experience • Healthcare IT solutioning and system interfacing • Experience integrating clinical systems such as: • PACS systems • MRI and imaging platforms • Other ancillary or third-party clinical applications Qualifications & Experience • Highly organized, detail-oriented IT Project Manager with strong execution skills • Prior hands-on experience with Athena EMR implementations required • Strong background in healthcare system integrations and interfacing • Proven experience coordinating third-party vendors and cross-functional technical teams • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects in fast-paced healthcare environments • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills • Ability to translate technical concepts for clinical, operational, and executive audiences Success Factors • Strong ownership mentality with accountability for outcomes • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, delivery-focused role • Ability to balance technical depth with program-level coordination • Proven track record of successful healthcare IT go-lives Tim Campbell Liberty Personnel Services Inc. 610-941-6300 ext 121 direct: 484-567-2089 tc@libertyjobs.com www.libertyjobs.com www.linkedin.com/pub/tim-campbell/0/a9b/616 Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
