We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and guide a team of talented software engineers. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality software solutions, ensure efficient execution, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. You will be responsible for mentoring team members, optimizing development processes, and driving the technical vision to meet business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and manage software engineers, fostering career growth and technical development.
• Set performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation within the team.
Delivery
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
• Identify risks and roadblocks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
Technical Oversight
• Provide technical guidance to the team, reviewing code, designs, and architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Drive technical excellence and best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and engineering best practices to drive innovation.
Process Improvement
• Continuously improve engineering practices by implementing effective processes and tools.
• Optimize workflows for development, testing, and deployment.
Talent Acquisition
• Participate in the recruitment and hiring of new engineers to expand and strengthen the team.
• Onboard new hires and help them integrate into the team, fostering a supportive environment.
Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in React, API development, and MySQL.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, cloud platforms, and scalable system design.
• Proven experience leading remote teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent command of English language.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
